From May to July 2026 the Hamburger Architektur Sommer (Hamburg Summer of Architecture) will celebrate a Festival of Architecture in places all over the city. Our information base you find at the Urbaneo – Young Centre for Architecture – at Strandkai on the bank of river Elbe in the HafenCity.
The Hamburg Architecture Summer has been held since 1994, usually every three years, and is firmly established in the city’s cultural life as an architectural triennial. It provides a platform for numerous events focusing on architecture, urban development, and related disciplines.
It is organized by the non-profit association Initiative Hamburger Architektur Sommer e.V. and supported by the City of Hamburg. The Chamber of Architects, as well as many other stakeholders – including museums, universities, and architectural firms – participate in the program. As a citizens' initiative in the field of architectural culture, the Architecture Summer thrives on the commitment of its participants. With over 200 events, it is aimed at both professionals and interested members of the general public.
