Stephanie is an artist and a gardener taking care of Sunflower Fields by Agnes Denes. Born in 1988 in Ontario, Canada, Stephanie Jacobs completed her BFA at NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 2011. She then spent ten years working in forestry as a tree planter and first aid officer.In 2021, she earned her MFA in Painting and Drawing under Professor Werner Büttner. She has received scholarships from BKM Hamburg for the group project Touch Don’t Touch, as well as independent funding through the Deutschlandstipendium and the NEUSTART KULTUR Kickstarter grant. Jacobs has been nominated for several awards, including the Art Award Nord, Arbeitsstipendium, Hiscox Kunstpreis, and the Schües-Stiftung prize. She currently lives and works in Hamburg.
