Kampnagel is a world-renowned international production house that presents contemporary performing arts, concerts, conferences, and a variety of different festivals and thematic focuses. The six Kampnagel stages showcase the work of international artists and that of the local Hamburg scene. The program represents a broad spectrum of aesthetic positions and groundbreaking trends, not only in theater, dance and performance, but also in music, visual arts and architecture.

Kampnagel is a productive laboratory for the development of ideas, a think tank and place for controversy, opening up to society and processing the surrounding reality in art. The house is networked throughout Germany in the Alliance of International Production Houses and works globally and locally with a variety of different cooperation partners. In total, Kampnagel hosts over 900 events per season, attracting 180.000 visitors to the site.
