Intersectionality
Intersectionality refers to the complex interactions of different discriminations to which an individual may be subject as a result of belonging to various social, ethnic, biological and/or religious groups. So a black homeless person for example may experience discrimination as a result of the color of his skin and as a result of his social status, while these forms of discrimination both influence and reinforce each other in not insubstantial ways.
