Social-Media-Targeting

Social media targeting is the latest variety of target advertising, a concept in internet advertising in which the advertising presented on a web page is aligned with the content of the page surrounding it or with the presumed interests of the target group for that page. In social media targeting all targeting techniques are used and combined with a refined target group algorithm that in an ideal scenario directs a bespoke individual selection of advertising at each individual user of a social media platform. Facebook was the first platform to make use of the algorithms required for social media targeting.
