para-education

The non-profit association para-education was founded in the fall of 2024 by artists, educators, and curators. Its founding members include Anja Steidinger, Carina Herring, Dörte Habighorst, Julia Stolba, Malin Kuht, Nora Sternfeld, Sarah Savalanpour, and Thesea Rigou. The association focuses on art mediation in public spaces and cultural institutions through projects, consultancy, events, and publications. para-education places particular emphasis on bridging theory and practice, as well as addressing social and political topics such as memory culture, inclusion, and sustainability. The association’s first project is the ReferenzBibliothek on public art, which will open in the fall at Kunsthaus Hamburg in collaboration with Stadtkuratorin.
