José Délano is an artist, designer and curator. With an active curatorial research and through a multidisciplinary formal approach his work questions and transforms traditional artistic formats within cultural institutions and public space. With a vast experience in exhibition-making and public installations, he aims to reframe contemporary critical discussions through innovative artistic formats to be accessible to a wider audience that reaches beyond the art context. He is behind the conception of exhibitions such as Cine(so)matrix, Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid (2023), The third life of Agnes Varda, Silent Green, Berlin (2022), Bauhaus 100, National Museum of Fine Arts, Santiago de Chile (2021), FuturePerfectLand, Monopol, Berlin (2021) or Zwischen Räumen, ZKR, Berlin (2017), or installations in public space like Commopoly, Spiel/Feld Marzahn, Berlin (2023), + Futuro, Zickenplatz, Berlin (2020), Windows and neons, Via Garibaldi, Venice (2013) or currently The Vegetable Parliament in Silent Green, Berlin (2025). He founded the Latin American visual arts platform Kap Hoorn in Berlin, and is a member of the Curatorial Collective for Public Art (CCPA). José was born 1978 in Santiago de Chile and lives in Berlin.
